Brian's House

Residential Services

These Chester and Delaware County programs include staffed residences in the community, as well as customized family and adult support services.

  • The Brian's House program is home to medically fragile children and adults with profound developmental disabilities. Characterized by an atmosphere of caring and warmth, on-site nursing is provided around the clock. During the day, children attend public school; adults participate in the Adult Day Program.
  • The Community Living programs are highly individualized. Each home-like residence accommodates 2-7 people who have a wide range of ability levels (ambulatory and non-ambulatory), and 24-hour supervision is provided when needed. The individuals may have intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders, multi-sensory deficits, seizure disorders, and behavioral difficulties. Comprehensive support services maximize progress toward self-sufficiency and community involvement. Day service options include different levels of employment training or participation in our day services program.
  • The Bridges program is a network of group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors. Close supervision is provided around the clock, and our staff lead a variety of activities that promote trust, personal responsibility, socialization, and adaptive ways of meeting personal needs. Other services include job development/coaching, as well as leisure & recreational activities.

Adult Support Services

The scope of these services is broad and inherently flexible; we provide support to individuals with disabilities who reside in Chester County.

Community Support

For community residing adults with mild to moderate developmental disabilities, these services are flexible. They are tailored to help the person maximize his/her independence, benefit from meaningful work experiences, enjoy friendships and leisure, and interact with the community at large. Additional services address social and emotional development; the utilization of family supports; health care access coordination; personal finance management and other independent living skills; transportation, and others.
